Despite the advice of some experts to head overseas as a tourist and look around, your life will be much easier if you find a job before you leave the United States. Not only might the company take care of your work visa (or pay you from their U.S. office, possibly negating that concern), but they also might cover relocation expenses, give you a housing allowance, and more.

Internet resources for finding international jobs fall into two categories: job posting sites and job resource sites. The posting sites we’ll mention here are not industry or region specific, but we will list a few sites tailored by region or industry.
