Google Adsense

With the knowledge from the previous article, now you know more about Google Adsense and Google Adwords. Let me tell you a strategy that could earn you unlimited profits from Google Adsense. A good web programmer can blend in Adsense nicely into the webpage that readers do not even feel that it is an advertisement. However, without traffic, that would render it completely useless. Now, where would the traffic come from? Blogging? SEO? Just by counting on SEO would not take you anywhere.

The trick is to be a traffic middleman. You have to combine Google Adwords to do this. Get quick, cheap and quality traffic to your website by purchasing keyword advertisements with Google Adwords or Yahoo. Bid on only the minimum of $0.05 to $0.10 or buying one of the top 3 positions on the small PPC search engine. When readers from the world wide web clicks on your advertisements, they will be taken to your web site that shows exactly the relevant information that they are searching about. Google will do a good job in analyzing to show the relevant advertisements in your page, so optimize your page content that you want readers that clicked on your advertisements to click onto your Adsense advertisements.

You will be paying pennies to obtain a visitor, a very small price to pay for traffic. By paying this small price, you can gain dollars with the Adsense advertisements on your page. Later in this article, I will show you a list of keywords that Google advertisers currently pay the most, per click.

You can bid $0.05 for a keyword and gain $0.50 for that back in your page. This is superb. There are hundreds of thousand of keywords that could literally be bidded cheaply on the smaller PPC programs as stated above this page. These keywords may be VERY expensive if you bidded on Google Adwords. The key is to survey the price of various keywords from the smaller sites and choose the larger programs (Adsense) as publisher.

EXAMPLE

I did a search on the price of keywords of “Search Engine Optimization” on Miva.com and found out that it costs $0.21 to bid for the first placing. I did a similar search in Google Adwords for the same keyword and found out that i costs a WHOPPING $7.00 for it. The same keyword, one at the price of $0.21 and the other, $7.00 per click. Now, tell me, is that a huge difference? The fact is larger programs have a higher bidding price if compared to the smaller ones.

The only program that tells you how much an advertiser is bidding on a keyword is Overture (Yahoo). However through experience and research, I found out that Google has quite the similar maximums. The have a look at the list of most paying keywords, click here. You might be surprised that some advertisers even bid more than $100 for a single click on a particular keyword. Do you see the potential now? A few pennies to exchange with at least 50% of $100?

WARNING : Google has very strict policies. Any wrong-doings will lead to a bad for life. Please do not overlook these policies. You can view the Terms And Conditions and the Program Policies here. A few quick pointers if you are too lazy to read all the small caps in the policies :

1) Never click on your own Adsense advertisements
2) Never put Adsense in a page with little or no contents
3) Never point and guide the reader to click the Adsense advertisements (eg. Click here)
4) You can only put “Sponsored Links” and “Advertisements” above the Adsense snippets
5) No adult contents allowed

Pointers for your ads to blend into the page and to trigger relevant Google advertisements

1) Do not use borders around the Adsense advertisements. Make it look more like a part of your content
2) Use the same background colour for Adsense and your site page.
3) Put Advertisements within your content, thus to look like a link
4) Make sure that you have the keyphrase “Search Engine Optimization” in the page title
5) Make sure that you have the keyphrase “Search Engine Optimization” in the meta tags
6) Make sure that you have the keyphrase “Search Engine Optimization” in the the description tags
7) Make sure that you have the keyphrase “Search Engine Optimization” in the content several times, with at least 1 rendering it with “bold”
8) You should have a H1 and H2 heading tag on the page for the keyphrase “Search Engine Optimization” as well
9) Make a link back to the homepage with an anchor text of keyphrase “Search Engine Optimization”

NOTE : Sometimes getting contents are quite a hassle. You just can’t seem to find enough content to put into your website or you are too lazy to write, think and type contents into the website. Do not worry. This is not the end of the world. There are tons of sites that provides thousands of free articles and you are free to use it on your site. Here are some of those sites that you might be interested in:

Alternatively, you can use an automated tool to generate contents about the keywords that you input. Below are the sites that you can use:

The most important factor is to find and create a page with Good Paying Keywords. The ones that is in the Excel sheet above. (I hope that you have successfully downloaded it). Another important thing to do is to bid variations of those keywords such as “biggest”, “cheapest”, “most affordable” and “cheapest”. Create lots of variations, again, be creative! The next thing is to send click-throughs to the page that you have just created and you would most probably get the advertisers that bidded $1-$100 for the top spots. You will also obtain a 20%-50% click through rate if you have followed my instructions earlier. Keep doing this for more and more keywords. Impressions and click through rates may be low, but you can do this with thousands of keywords. Let us imagine, if you get $1 out of each keyword, multiply with 1000 keywords per day. you would get an average of $30,000 per month! Now, how’s that. Keep increasing your max bid penny a bit at a time, until you reach your definition of “peak” profit rate.

NOTE : There is a danger of choosing high paying keywords to advertise to your site. Let us take for example of a $50 advertisement. It is an average that Google Adsense will pay around 50% of the revenue to you. In this case, you SHOULD be paid somewhere around $25. However, to protect the advertisers, if you own a fairly new site or your article does not really match what the advertiser is advertising, you could get lesser than the amount of what you should get. I would approximately guess that it would be somewhere arounf $15-$20. DO NOT PANIC. You could easily tweak your page content back to the original advertisement that was put on your page. For instance, if the advertisement is regarding to “Computer Software” and you are showing “Computer Repairs” on your site, you can easily tweak and add contents about computer software to match bank the advertisements. You would need to test alot of different keywords to choose which one is the most profitable to you.

For me, I would always prefer to stick to those of $1 to $2 advertisements and bid a less amount ($0.05-$0.10) in Miva.com and get a click through rate of 20% or so. For $1 i get 20 visitors. 20% of click through rates would give me somewhere around 4 clickers per $1. Now, 4 clickers would be doubling or tripling off what i invested. While I playing around with cheap and low-bidded keywords I have a few advantages:

1) I can play with thousands of those keywords
2) I can keep on testing and retesting as those keywords are CHEAP!
3) I can avoid the possibility of not getting full percentage if compared to high bidded keywords
4) I always get favourable percentages as these are the keywords that is not usually played with

Another way to attract clicks is to place pictures around the Adsense snippets. (Be careful not to put graphics such as “Click this” or something that resembles that). Here is an example:

sample Adsense

It’s also important to create a “channel” in your AdSense account for each of your domains. You can also create
sub-channels for different pages within each URL. This will enable you to track exactly which pages are earning you the most money.

Advanced Middleman Traffic Trick

Here is a simple trick that can be an alternative too for gaining profits from Adsense. This trick uses the technology of the search engine. Create a search engine for your site that returns a pre-populated searches for the smaller PPC search engines and make the first few results SPONSORED results from Google or SearchFeed.

The following is an illustration of what i was talking about:
http://www.uncoverthenet.com/search/?q=pay+per+clic

Now if UncovertheNet were to purchase the keyphrase “pay per click” on Miva or another small PPC search engine for say 10 cents, they would make sure their paid ad led people to the URL above. Now when visitors reach that page, they will see results for the same keyword they originally typed in, so they won’t likely understand what happened when they were shipped to UncovertheNet’s results. Now if they click on the sponsored ads at the top of UncovertheNet’s pre-populated page (which are from searchfeed), or the sponsored ads on the right (which are from Google), UncovertheNet will make 20 cents, 40 cents, or whatever the current rate is on Searchfeed and Google.

Basically you will be paying Miva or another PPC search engine to send people to your search engine that shows relevant results. And hopefully the visitors will click on your sponsored ads because:

1) What they are looking for are relevant
2) The advertisements are on the top-right. This place is the best placement for click throughs
3) They look like real results. Readers do not like advertisements. This serves a very good way to blend in

Now that you have harnessed the power of Google Adsense, i believe you can start a crusade on gaining profits from it. Our next stop, Google Adwords! Enjoy!

Are eBay Profits Still Possible

There is no doubt that the birth and growth of eBay has changed the world in many different ways.

It has allowed literally tens of thousands of people to create their own highly successful home business.

It has enabled many elderly and disabled people to bring in extra income to take care of their material needs.

It has made it possible to shop for anything at 11pm while sitting in your underwear.

Ah.. life is good!

As a reader of this newsletter no doubt your interest is in the profit making abilities of eBay.

From speaking and emailing with readers like you, I assume that you are interested in having your own profitable home-based internet business whether it is eBay or some other method of profiting from the web.

To make sure that’s correct, could you make your choice below and you’ll see the results in this live poll.

If you have been reading this newsletter for awhile, you know how I try to keep an open mind concerning making money on eBay and the internet.

eBay is NOT the only way of making money on the web. It is also NOT the only way of making money using your computer from home.

Does it seem strange that I ask the question “Are eBay Profits Still Possible?”

Some might think that since I have used eBay selling to put big profits in my pockets that I would be sounding like a chorus of angels singing how wonderful eBay is.

Well.. It’s not quite like that.

Don’t get me wrong. I’ll always appreciate the incredible opportunities that eBay has produced, but I by no means think that it some sort of utopia. (<– 25 cent word)

eBay, like all HUGELY successful and innovative businesses, is going through a cycle of growth which starts at a grass roots level and quickly expands to a profit driven machine that stomps all over the grass (and people) it started with.

Hey.. don’t take it personal, it’s just business.

Why It’s Getting Tougher

As these markets have become more crowded, it has become more difficult to make a profit in both areas.

Why?

Many reasons. These include:

* Increased competition leading to more sellers chasing less buyers which drops the price and profit of the item.

* Businesses that previously sold their excess stock to liquidators are now setting up their own eBay presence.

* Wholesalers and importers are using eBay as a major distribution channel, making it impossible for the small guy to compete.

* Increased competition from other sellers trying to source liquidated, closeout, and refurbished goods has increased product cost hence lowering profits.

Should You Throw In The Towel?

Many people get frustrated with eBay, and with good reason! They spend countless hours looking for something to sell on eBay and they cannot make consistent profits. Many give up thinking that “It is impossible to make money on eBay!”

Do you feel that way?

Well, let me tell you that it is VERY POSSIBLE to make great money on eBay. Countless tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of people are doing so each day.

But.. you need to know that the “low lying fruit” is getting harder to find.

(Low lying fruit refers to the fruitage that you can easily grab a hold of with little thinking or effort.)

The eBay market has matured and changed, and you may need to do the same.

Although you don’t need throw in the towel, you may need to change your attack plan.

Modifying Your Attack Plan.

Many think of eBay as a get rich quick business.

It isn’t!

Many think that it takes little effort to start and build a successful eBay business.

That isn’t true.

Many think that they can sell anything on eBay and make a great profit.

Sorry, that ain’t gonna happen.

If you think this way, then you need to modify your attack plan.

Wholesale / Dropship Selling on eBay, Road To Riches?

The two most popular ways that people want to sell on eBay is:

Dropshipping: Every day I get emails from people who want to know a “good dropship source” for DVDS, clothing, Video games, etc..

When I ask why, they normally respond is “‘XYZ’ is such a hot item. Everyone wants them!”

Ouch! But you neglect the fact that “Yeah.. but everyone is also selling ‘XYZ’”.

Maybe I’m all washed up on this point, but hear me out….

“It doesn’t matter how many people are buying if there are too many sellers.”

eBay’s BIGGEST Problem

Here is the BIGGEST problem with eBay (beside the excess fees :-)

Too Much Competition!

This Is A BIG Reason Why So Many People Cannot Make A Profit On eBay!

Too many people are trying to sell the same thing to a limited number of buyers. This naturally causes the price (and profits) to drop.

I can understand why people want to use dropship sources.

In theory…. it solves many seller problems. It requires no inventory investment, no storage required, no touching of merchandise. It truly seems like the best thing since sliced bread.

People imagine they can simply sell several different dropshipped items on eBay, collect the steady stream of money that comes in, take out their profit, pay the supplier, and be done with it.

Isn’t that wonderful thing!

The problem is that millions of other people have the same idea. This requires that you select dropship suppliers AND items that aren’t already being listed by a gazillion other people!

The Trick To Dropshipping Is..

The trick to successful dropshipping is to avoid the big boy suppliers (who are over fished), and instead find lesser known suppliers AND less commodity like items to sell.

Dropshipping is not without it’s dangers either. These include keeping an eye on BACKORDERS! (Check out the solutions in: 12 Killer Dropship SECRETS For eBay Sellers)

Please… don’t attempt to sell “common”, “general” items on eBay like DVDs, DVD players, digital cameras, laptop computers, Cell-phones, etc…, unless you have VERY deep pockets and are a sizable business.

The mistake that many people make is signing up for a dropship list supplier/service and immediately going to the largest supplier of the most common “commodity” items. (BTW, I only recommend two different dropship source companies. This one and that one)

Instead.. Look for a smaller, though reliable and trustworthy supplier that has items that are more difficult to find in a corporate retail store. For example, when you think of the item, can you think of a major chain (ie.. Walmart, Target, Bed & Bath, Home Depot, etc..) that you can easily find the item? Is the item seasonal? For example, I’ve had GREAT success selling dropshipped dehumidifiers. These aren’t too easy to find retail, and they are generally only found during a few months of the year. A dehumidifier is a totally unglamorous, “un-HOT” item.

Remember.. It only takes one person to buy your item!

The Trick To Wholesale Sourcing Is..

In wholesale sourcing, you should follow the same line of thinking. Find a non-commodity “line” of items that you can carry. Something that is not too easy to locate at a local retail store.

Become an expert on that item, and if technical give them additional information in your ad that no one else does. For example, does the item require some assembly? Why not take a quick video of yourself assembling it, burn it to CD and include it free with each purchase. Chances are none of your competition will have such a video so you’ll stand out like a superstar.

If you personally use the item, that gives you a HUMONGOUS ADVANTAGE! Explain how you use it, why you like it, how much time it saves, any special inside secrets, etc…

More Techniques Beside Sourcing..

Of course there is much more to eBay selling profits then just sourcing. You need to look at anything you can do to improve the shopper’s experience. Take off your selling hat, and put on a buying hat. Look at your auctions from the eyes of a potential buyer.

Optimize Titles

This includes making it easier to find your auction. In the introduction of this newsletter I mentioned the technique of refining your auction titles. It makes sense that the more people who can find your auction will result in more sales.

Bonuses & Free Gifts

Everyone loves a free gift. Is there something you can offer as a bonus to people who buy from you? For example, say you sell “Hot Wheels” cars. Could you put together a report that contains a list of all the Hot Wheels cars ever produced? Or the “Top Ten” websites to buy hot wheels cars from. (Note: Check if these websites have affiliate programs. If they do, be sure to include your affiliate link so you get a commission if the person purchases. You can then set up an income stream just by recommending the web site!)

(Sidepoint: Do you have an interest that others share? It could be travel, hobby, collectible, even medically oriented. Anything where people would have to spend many hours of research to find more info on. Could you put together a resource report where you give a ton of quality info and sell it for a few bucks on eBay? Don’t forget the affiliate links! )

Digital reports are great because they cost nothing to reproduce or ship, but have a high perceived value.

Testimonials

While having great eBay feedback is a powerful thing, I am amazed at how many sellers fully overlook the power of product specific feedback. If you are a buyer, what would mean more to you, to read a feedback like: “Fast shipping AAA Seller” or “I love my widget! Best Widget deal on eBay!”. If you are in the market for a widget, wouldn’t the second one just jump out and grab your wallet! :-)

Now make a list of these and put them RIGHT INSIDE YOUR AD, and you have a powerful tool! The problem is that it takes a good amount of work and knowledge of HTML to do it right. That’s why I came out with a tool called FAME (Feedback Ad Maker for Ebay) that automates the entire process. It’s worth taking a look at.

Bonded Shopping

One of the secret weapons used by leading eBay sellers is BuySafe. It is a service where an eBay seller becomes bonded. This makes it impossible for the buyer to get ripped off. I use this myself on all of my auctions. Instead of reinventing the wheel to describe it, I swiped the next few paragraphs from BuySafe’s website.

Bonded Shopping protects shoppers before and after their purchase. It is the only service that comprehensively qualifies merchants, making it easy for shoppers to know which sellers are among the best anywhere, so that they can avoid problems in the first place. And, Bonded Shopping provides shoppers with the highest level of financial protection available to online buyers — up to $25,000 on each bonded purchase.

Bonded Shopping gives Bonded Sellers™ a marketing advantage over their competition.

Bonded Sellers are able to offer buyers a surety bond — a guarantee of financial protection. Shoppers know that Bonded Shopping is safe shopping . . . so they are far more likely to buy. Bonded Sellers have exclusive access to the Bonded Shopping Network, a site where shoppers know that every transaction will be satisfying.

BuySafe is a great way to make yourself stand above the crowd. Not everyone qualifies for the service, but it’s worth checking out to see how it can help you make more sales.

Professional Logo & Template

Adding a professional quality logo and ad layout template can go a long way in helping people feel more confident about you as a professional seller.

Friendly & Interesting Ad Copy

When describing your item, do more than including a bunch of facts, figures, and bullet list of features.

Make it an interesting description to read. Describe to them how much they’ll enjoy the item. Or tell them about the benefits they’ll enjoy when they use it. Make it seem like they already have it in their hands.

For example, When I first started selling on eBay, I tried using a regular bathroom scale to weigh my packages. (Hey.. Stop laughing at me! You know you did too!) What drove me nuts about this approach was that when you placed the box on the scale, you couldn’t see the dial. So you had to stand on the scale holding the package in a position so you could read the scale. Then you had to subtract your own weight. Oh yeah.. that was a lot of fun. So, I shopped eBay for a digital scale with a remote display. The display was attached to the scale section by a coiled cord so you could put it in a better position. In the ad, I described the frustration and pain of trying to use an inaccurate bathroom scale. I then described how I had weighed hundreds of packages using this scale and I LOVED IT! It didn’t require an AC adapter so I could easily move it around. The battery lasted forever. It was very accurate and could handle packages up to 300lb. It was a great scale at a great price. When you get yours you are going to think “How did I ever get along without this?”. In the ad I also put a ton of feedback received from other people who also loved the scale. It practically sold itself and that same ad that I wrote over 3 years ago has sold 793 units (over $50,000 in sales) so far.

Another item I sold was a Turkish bathrobe. It was emerald green (not my favorite color), but it was a very high quality, very heavy bathrobe. Now I never wear pajamas, nor do I ever wear a bathrobe. So I couldn’t take the same approach since I wasn’t going to lie about loving it. What I did know was that this WAS quite luxurious and warm, so I focused on that. “Just imagine you and your loved one relaxing in front of the fireplace toasty warm wrapped up in this wonderful bathrobe.”

I even had some fun with it and highlighted how the pockets were perfect for holding a TV remote and cordless phone. The ad also included a warning to not wear it near a Jacuzzi or bathtub. “This terry cloth robe is so thick that if you fell in the water while wearing it, it will soak up so much water that you may have difficulty getting back out! Please be careful wearing this!” You couldn’t read the warning without visualizing yourself wearing the robe in this situation! (Result? Over $15,000 of bathrobes sold from that one ad)

Once you can get a person to visualize wearing, using, or owning your product, then you have just made the sale! Cha-Ching!

When someone visits your eBay ads, give them an experience not a sales pitch!

eBay Is Changing, You Must Too!

As a seller, you need to keep on your toes and adjust your methods of sourcing product and selling on eBay.

Points to remember:

* Avoid the same BIG suppliers and same “Me Too” items that others are selling.
* Watch out and ignore the distributors/wholesalers who also sell through eBay.
* Don’t sell commodity items easily found at Walmart or other retail outlets.
* To help make you stand above the competition, add value to the item you selling. Include personal usage notes, installation instructions or help.
* Do your homework when looking for product to sell.
* Use smaller less-known suppliers to lessen your chance of competition.

Other Methods Of Making Money On eBay..

Many people ONLY think of dropship and wholesale sources for eBay selling. In our next newsletter, we’re going to investigate several other ways that people are making huge money on eBay!

Stay Tuned!

The Magic Of Upselling

You can use Resell Rights products to effectively upsell to your customers and increase your profits dramatically.

Di you ever order a meal from McDonalds?

I’m sure you have noticed that they always ask if you want something extra with your order.

“Would you like fries with that?”

“Would you like some dessert with that?”

Do you ever think of how much extra money this tactic produces for the store?

Let me tell you - lots!

So what does this got to do with the resell rights business?

Well, you can do just the same…

Let’s say that you sell a $47 valued Ebook package. When your customer clicks through to your order page you can ask them for an upsell.

You may give them the option of purchasing an extra product for a special discount.

You could for example offer them a $47 valued Ebook for only $17.

That’s a saving for your customer of $30 but also an increase in profits for you - at no extra cost!

This marketing tactic is a real winner and owning the rights to a whole list of products gives you the ability to unleash this strategy for mind blowing profits.

Think about it for a minute.

If you click through to buy a product, and you see an offer like the one above and you know that this offer is only available now - decide whether you want to save $30 by getting the extra product or just get the initial product you wanted.

Not many people can resist a bargain and many -if not most- will choose to take the upsell.

This is the real magic of resale rights products.

This is simply amazing - and you know what?

I wouldn’t have been able to do it if I didn’t own all the resale rights products.

That’s another advantage of resale rights products.

You can also create a best selling product yourself… without doing any writing easy and affordably.

For instance… you can get the content for your own Ebook by:

-Hiring a copy or ghostwriter.

Keep in mind when you’re hiring a copywriter that they should provide you original content and not just copy and paste from web sites. A good rule of thumb to go by is $5 per 500 – 1000 word article.

Remember that the initial investment that you make for any type of product that is downloadable, will pay you over and over again without any extra costs.

(If you’d like to know what to look out for when you hire a ghostwriter, you should get a copy of the Ghostwriters From The Inside Out report.)

Here are some freelance sites where freelancers bid for your work. It doesn’t cost you a penny to find out how much it costs to have something produced.

www.guru.com
www.scriptlance.com
www.designoutpost.com

- Gather articles and compile them into an Ebook.

It is perfectly legal to gather articles that you find for free and place them in Ebooks that you sell or give away.

Just contact the authors of the article and tell them that you want to use their article in an Ebook. Most authors will appreciate this.

I prefer this method because it doesn’t cost any money. Make sure that the articles contain quality information so your readers will not be disappointed.

As long as your Ebook delivers what you promise in the sales page, you’ll be ok.

If you’re afraid of selling information that is available for free, let me tell you that people pay not only for information but for convenience.

They don’t want to wade through tons of crappy content to find good content.

If you can find good content for them, then they will reward you with a “finder’s fee”.

Here are some places where you will find articles:

www.ideamarketers.com
www.articlesubmissions.com
www.authorconnection.com
ezinearticles.com

- Interview experts and create an Ebook.

This is another easy way. There are many products curently selling interviews of experts.

The good thing is that most people who market online will feel proud to contribute to an Ebook.

I know I do

The trick is to be original.

People get excited over new products that they can resell, because they are tired of seeing the same products circulating around.

If they hear about a new product with resell rights, it will really catch their attention.

TIP: In Resale Rights Secrets, Ewen Chia interviewed 19 experts on resell rights marketing. I highly recommend you to get a copy. You’ll discover amazing secrets and powerful strategies to outsell your toughest competition -especially if you’re selling the exact same products as them!

How To Create Your Own Ebook Package Easy

The most important aspect for resell rights marketers is that they don’t have to create their own product.

So… why not create your own products?

Now you probably wonder why you would create your own product when you’re interested in reselling other people’s products?

Because its dead simple…

It comes down to bundling some resell rights products together in a unique way, creating a unique angle for selling it and then write a compelling sales page. That’s exactly what I did when I created the Instant Niche Turnkey Package.

You can use your imagination and create your own theme. The more you niche (segment) your topics, the better your product will sell.

Here are 4 other important reasons to set up your own niche Ebook package:

• You can barter your own package to obtain other resell rights products.

• You can customize your own package for joint venture partners.

• You have no restrictions on how you want to promote your package.

• You can greatly enhance your ability to promote resell products and affiliate programs by offering your package as bonuses.

Another example of a niche package is the eBay Extreme collection. I searched for some old Ebooks about eBay on my hard disk, checked to see if the content was still up to date, and then I compiled a package from these Ebooks.

I announced the new package to an eBay related Opt-In list that I had built in the past, and started selling copies within minutes.

TIP: It’s really simple to turn an old Ebook into a hotselling Info-Product. I did it in less than 1 hour, and now this Ebook works like an automated profits generator, without me lifting one finger.

Do you see how it works?

You select some quality Ebooks with Resell Rights about a certain subject, bundle your own package, create a sales page, and wham… there you have another unique product to make profits from.

Print out the following line, and spell it on your PC monitor…

A Unique Offer + An Attractive Sales Page + A Targeted List = SALES !

You can offer resell rights to your package, barter your package for other products with resell rights, offer your package as an upsell, offer your product as a bonus, the posibilties are endless.
