Introduction

The question that I’m asked most often by my customers and subscribers is:

“How do I get more traffic to my website?”

And whenever the subject of search engines comes up, it’s quickly followed by:

“But how can I get a good listing in the search engines when they keep changing the way they rank sites?”

Well, there are many ways to get traffic, and the good news about search engines is that they don’t change the way they rank sites that often.

What changes is that they put in better ways of catching those that try to trick and spam them.

For example, if you have an illegal adult site and you’re trying to get it to show up when people search for “mortgage information”, the search engines will figure this out and will probably ban your site.

As long as you play by their rules, you don’t have to worry about this happening to you. I know there are some horror stories out there on this, but for the most part if you play your cards right you can expect to get traffic from the search engines for a long time.

Some examples I’m sure you may have heard about are:

1) Put popular search terms in your Meta Tags (even if it has nothing to do with your site.)
2) Place many, many keywords at the bottom of your page and change the font color so that visitors don’t see them.
3) Purchase software that will greatly inflate the number of links to your site.

This is just a small sample, and I’m sure at one point these tricks actually worked, but the search engines eventually figure this out and put in special exclusions for sites using these methods.

Because so many people subscribe to these theories, many will have you believe that search engines are really not even worth your time and effort when promoting your website.

To put it simply: Yes they are!

The long-term, targeted, and in most cases FREE traffic generated by the search engines just cannot be overlooked.

It does take time to get listed, and even longer to get listed well. But once your site is listed and is listed well, you can expect a steady stream of targeted visitors for many months to come.

What may really shock you is that it is not that difficult to get a great listing in the search engines … and to even get listed well for great keywords.

It doesn’t happen overnight, and you can’t just push a button and expect to magically appear at the top of the listings, but it can be done.

Introduction To Ebook Compilers

An e-book compiler is the software you use to pack (compile) your information into a single file that can be easily downloaded and opened on a PC.

There are two main types of e-book compiler:

1.Those that will take content which is contained in HTML files (web pages) and package it into a single EXE file.

2.Those that will take content which is contained in HTML or text files and package it into a PDF file.

Here’s a closer look at both types:

1. Compilers that make EXE books using HTML files

HTML compilers are usually very easy to use. However, before you use the compiler itself, you need to put your information into HTML format (web pages, basically). A little later we’ll be looking at how to do this. Once your content is in web page format, the compiler will take all the pages that make up your book (together with any images, etc. within those pages) and compresses the whole lot in one single file.

The file that is created is an EXE file (a stand-alone executable file) that can be opened by double-clicking on the icon.

Books made using an HTML compiler usually work on Windows PCs only and, in most cases, readers will need to have Internet Explorer 4 (or higher) installed.

2. Compilers that make PDF books using text or HTML files

While there are now a few imitations on the market, the main compiler in this category is Adobe’s Acrobat. The output file is in PDF format (Portable Document File). Your readers will need to have Adobe’s Acrobat Reader installed to read this type of e-book. This can be downloaded for free from Adobe.com.

PDF e-books are more ‘printer-friendly’ than EXEs, but personally I find them a bit cumbersome to read and to navigate.

The main advantage PDFs is that they will work on any platform (Windows, Mac, etc).

If you’d like to see an example of a PDF e-book, you can download a free copy of “Unleashing the Ideavirus” from the Ideavirus website.

Some exceptions

There are a couple of exceptions to these two basic compiler types. There are those that come with a built-in ‘reader’ of their own (so you don’t need to have Internet Explorer or Acrobat Reader installed). There are those that combine aspects of the two basic types described above. For example, some compilers will output an EXE file using text files as the source.

Finally, there are compilers that have a built-in word processor, so you create the contents of the book inside the compiler itself.

Conclusion

If you’re just starting out and you want to keep costs down and keep everything as simple as possible, then go for one of the HTML compilers. When you’re up and running you can look at making the extra investment in a PDF compiler.

Introduction

Many people are making a killing by selling information online - especially information that they didn’t create themselves- and you may become one of them.

The purpose of this article is to teach you how you too can make profits selling other people’s products.

The beauty of working with resell products is that there’s nothing to share with others, and you don’t need to work on a commission base, like with an affiliate program, that pays you only a fraction of the sale you make.

But don’t start the party too soon…

I can not guarantee how much you will earn after studying this report. That will solely depend on the steps that you’re willing to take, and how serious you are about starting a resale business.

I can only make it as simple as possible for you by showing you what to do, and more important…

… what NOT to do

So, that had to be said, because I don’t want you to create any false expectations.

Now, before we continue, I want to point you to a handy tool called the “Ebook Librarian” to keep yourself organized…

One of my biggest problems when I first bought an Ebook collection was that I downloaded everything at once.

I filled up my desktop with folders and files with strange names, and it turned out a complete nightmare to figure out what went where.

The “Ebook Librarian” saved me from that. The program keeps track of all your Ebooks and organizes your files into different categories for easy searching.

You can download a free copy at:
www.ebooklibrarianplus.com

Ready? Ok, then let’s roll…

Before you start selling an Ebook (or other product) that you bought, you should always check first if it comes with resell rights.

Remember… not all Ebooks have resale rights. In fact, most don’t.

Even if you bought an Ebook as part of a resell rights package, and the owner tells you that the product is resalable, triple check to see if the product is really allowed for resale.

Many people blindly take other people’s words and confuse and upset people unintentionally because they sold something that wasn’t supposed to be.

In general, you can find the legal notice on the first page of an Ebook.

Resale rights come in different ways…

• You can buy a product with resell rights, and then resell the product and not allow others to resell it.

• You can buy and resell a product and allow your customers to also resell it from their own site.

• You can buy a product, and allow anyone who buys it from you to sell it, including selling the resell rights.

This is best known as “Master Resell Rights”, or also
“Generic Resale Rights”.

Beside resell rights there’s also something called
“Customization Rights”.

Some products allow you to customize the affiliate links inside the product with your own affiliate links to earn backend profits. Mostly this requires a separate fee.

If you buy “customization rights”, you can insert your own profit generating affiliate links in the product, and anyone who buys the product from you and resells it, will help to spread your affiliate links.

You won’t find this option often because most authors want to earn backend profits for themselves, and not give them away to you.

Here’s a case study…

I wrote an ebook with the intention to make it available for free. This would give me the chance to collect the email addresses from my visitors and build an Opt- In list.(Because the Ebook contains affiliate links that pay me a commission when someone orders from them, I make money even while giving it away.)

But then I decided to sell it with resell rights included and offer every buyer the option of customizing the book with their affiliate links for an extra fee.

I also set up a pop-up window on the sales page, and gave away a free Ebook to my visitors in return for their email address.

So I won 4 times…

1) I made profits from the Ebook sales.

2) I made profits from selling the customization rights to the people who bought the Ebook.

3) I made profits from the affiliate links inside the Ebooks that other people sold via their site.

4) And at the same time I built an Opt-In list via the popup form on the sales page.

So far about the different forms of resell rights.

Example 3 Of Introduction Speeches To New Employee

Audience: colleagues in the immediate department
Message: This new employee is worth getting to know personally.
Tone: informal, light
Timing: 2 minutes

Eleanor Roosevelt observed: “If you approach each new person in a spirit of adventure, you will find yourself endlessly fascinated by the new channels of thought and experience and personality that you encounter.”

I agree with her. During the last (number) years as I’ve worked with all of you, I’ve come to appreciate what really fine individuals you are. You are talented and creative…. You care about the job…. You care about each other.

From my brief association with (name), I’ve already found her to be much like each of you. She is talented and creative and cares about the job. Her former supervisors have commented on these attributes while she held the position of (title) at (corporation); the position of (title) at (corporation); and the position of (title) at (corporation). In our reference checks, one point came through above all the rest: (name) pulls her own weight. She gives 110 percent.

On a more personal note, she has two boys at home, ages (number) and (number), and some of you can identify with the feeding, shopping, consoling, and refereeing that entails. She has a great racquetball backhand and jogs a few miles each week.

I mentioned at the beginning that (name) was like you in that she was talented, creative, and cared about the job. The last quality I noted about each of you—you care about each other—I’m sure will also come to be true with (name) as we welcome her into the group.

[Turn to the new employee.] (Name), we have about half an hour left, would you give us a brief overview of your life up to this point? No, I’m kidding. We won’t put (name) on the spot today, but please make every effort to get to know her one on one and offer your help as you always do.

Rather than applaud, turn your heads her way and give her a big nod. Glad to have you on board, (name).

Example 2 Of Introduction Speeches To New Employee

Audience: subordinates of the new executive
Message: This new executive has all the right credentials—and he’s modest.
Tone: informal, light
Timing: 2 minutes

Thank you for taking time out of your schedules to show up to meet our new chief. And yes, I think, he probably knows what a rarity it is for any of you to leave your desk and responsibilities for more than a couple of minutes during the week and how eager you are to get on with your usual challenging, exciting, dynamic, and excellent work. So I’ll be brief.

To summarize his résumé: (Name) has served as a vice president in two small corporations you may have heard of—Exxon and General Motors. At GM, he was responsible for [insert details of position]. At Exxon, he tried his hand at [insert details]. Trained in his undergraduate work as an engineer, he has toyed with a few technical ideas in his spare time and holds (number) patents. Oh, and along the way, he has managed to get his doctoral thesis published in a Prentice-Hall book entitled (title). A few other editors of technical journals have asked him to share what he’s learned with the rest of the industry, so he’s published a few hundred articles.

(Name) didn’t start at the top, however. Through the ranks at GM and Exxon, he held positions as design engineer, regional and divisional sales manager, and manager of operations. As you can see, he had quite a little difficulty in holding down a job until he got to the top of these organizations.

But from my understanding now, he’s here to stay. They say that a good executive is judged by the company he keeps… solvent. (Name), we’re placing our bets that you’re going to keep us solvent. And I’m very pleased about your decision to join us here. Meet your new chief executive, (name).

Example 1 Of Introduction Speeches To New Employee

Audience: employees
Message: Please appreciate the difficulty of this new manager’s job.
Tone: informal
Timing: 2 minutes

What is a manager? She’s one who sits behind the desk where the buck stops in her department. But a simpler definition is that a manager manages—paper,… deadlines,… communication,… clients,… crises,… risks,… and relationships. A manager keeps one eye on the future to plan, one eye on the past as a balance, and two hands busy in the interim to keep things moving from one location to the other.

Being in that position, a manager plays many roles. Protector of values…. Planner…. Delegator…. Sounding board…. Financial wizard…. Architect…. Educator…. These roles require business acumen, tact, leadership, foresight, courage, inspiration, interpersonal skills—and a great sense of humor.

I don’t have to tell you that it’s rare to find all those skills in a single individual. But in the opinion of the “powers that be” and my own, (name) exemplifies all these qualities and skills.

You have read (name)’s past titles and associations in the memo announcing her arrival on the scene. Her résumé has all the expected past titles and acronyms of one very capable of assuming this position. Some of you may have crossed paths with (name) in other positions in other departments or subsidiaries. Her record has been outstanding, and from our past conversations, she is here to continue her own professional growth and to help us grow along with her.

I’m pleased to introduce (name) to you this morning. Say hello.

Example 6 Of Introduction Speeches To Speaker

Audience: professionals, civic group, social gathering
Message: This individual is a genuine friend—a person of high standards and personal warmth.
Tone: informal, personal
Timing: 2 minutes

Some people succeed by what they know, some by what they do, and a few by what they are. (Name) has succeeded for all three reasons. But I want to talk about the latter reason—who she is personally.

Our guest and I chased boys together. In fact, as high-school co-conspirators against cafeteria food and later as college roommates, we ate late-night pizza together, borrowed each other clothes, spent holidays warting our parents for more spending money, and even flunked an art class together. Those days of secret conversations and bold assertions of independence are precious in my memory.

But it’s been a long time since I’ve whispered to her how much her friendship has meant to me over the years. Oh, yes, we’ve stayed in touch as we’ve raised families, changed our careers, and cared for elderly parents. Through all these years (name) has always known the right words of encouragement when I was down, given me splendid advice on business decisions, and offered emotional support when I needed her presence. But I want to take this opportunity tonight to tell her and you as a group how much I value that friendship and all it entails.

And, yes, she has all the right credentials to speak to you tonight. Her associates and you know her as Dr. (name). Her professional stature in the community is recognized by the media attention to her name and her many invitations to speak to groups such as ours. She knows her subject.

But more than her professional credentials, I wanted you to know tonight that (name) is genuinely the type of person you, too, would want as a friend if you’d had opportunity to know her individually.

Golda Meir once remarked to an acquaintance, “Don’t be humble: you’re not that great.” But I’m here to say that (name) is that great. Personally. A woman of integrity and tact, wisdom and warmth. With pride, I introduce you to my friend, (name).

Example 5 Of Introduction Speeches To Speaker

Audience: professional or civic group
Message: This individual is an expert, yet just “one of the guys.”
Tone: informal, light
Timing: 2 minutes

(Name), our featured speaker, is certain to generate some new ideas and motivate you to make some changes in the way you [insert primary application of the speaker’s topic].

As one of the industry’s leading authorities in sales, (name) is an executive vice president at (corporation). His clients know him to be a thorough, precise, excellent communicator with those who need their products and services. One client has called him “the number-one authority on [insert] of our decade.”

(Name) serves as consultant for numerous Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and governmental agencies. The airlines tell him he’s traveled more than (number) miles to (number) countries to tell salespeople how to [insert].

But enough about the titles and travels. Tonight, I want to tell you something a little more personal about (name.) (Name) is experienced in calf roping, whistling, harmonica playing, and commodities trading.

He has lived in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania; Dallas and Pyorrhea, Texas; Asheville, North Carolina; and Billings, Montana. He has been a fisherman, a golfer, a plumber’s helper—the real kind—and a third-string quarterback for his losing high-school team.

He has four teenage girls, a mother-in-law, three elderly aunts who show him partiality, and two parrots. He hates taking out the garbage and emptying the dishwasher, and he loves calling his oldest daughter at college and waking her up after midnight as she and her friends so often did to him.

Surely, somewhere in there you can find something to relate to (name) when you have a chance to chat with him after the meeting. For now, please give him a warm welcome from some of us who’ve “been there.” [Lead applause.]

Example 4 Of Introduction Speeches To Speaker

Audience: professional or civic group
Message: This individual is a celebrity but approachable.
Tone: formal
Timing: 1 minute
I’ll have to begin with a confession: When I was asked to introduce our guest of honor, I was thrilled, yet hesitant. Thrilled by the thought that if I were going to be introducing him, naturally I would have the opportunity to meet him personally beforehand. Yet I was hesitant, too. What original comments can you make to introduce someone of his stature? It’s all been said by others far more eloquent than I. You’ve heard of his wit and warmth and his talent to entertain.
Let me just sum up those comments by agreeing that our world is a better place because of our guest. We are grateful and honored that he has consented to be here with us tonight.
Therefore, thrilled, but no longer hesitant to introduce such a welcome guest, here is (name). [Begin applause.]

Example 3 Of Introduction Speeches To Speaker

Audience: professional or civic organization
Message: This person is an expert.
Tone: informal
Timing: 2-3 minutes, depending on insertion of details about accomplishments.

Ladies and gentlemen, we’re here to profit—that’s the bottom line. To profit professionally as we hear our speaker, (name). You’ve probably heard many speakers who don’t have much to say, but you had to listen a long time to find that out. Or, perhaps you’ve heard a speaker who used a lot of big technical words because he was afraid that if people knew what he was talking about they would know he didn’t know what he was talking about.

Well, I want to put your mind at ease. Neither is the case tonight with our speaker. She will be direct to your interest, and she will be clear.

It would be hard to overstate this woman’s qualifications to speak to us about (topic). When someone wants to establish credibility for a colleague, you frequently hear them use the cliché, “She wrote the book.” Well, literally, our speaker tonight wrote the book. Several in fact. She is the author of (title) and (title). In addition to these, she has published over (number) articles in industry-related journals and magazines sharing her expertise about (topic), (topic), and (topic).

In addition to the writing, she sits on several national boards and committees: [Insert names.]

Here’s what others in the industry have had to say about her expertise:
[Read from reviews or other publicity pieces.]

Although I’ve not had opportunity to meet and hear (name) before tonight, from our brief dinner conversation, I can assure you that the enthusiasm you’ve already seen beaming from her smile is a genuine concern for us to grasp and profit from the ideas she will be sharing.

It is with admiration and great expectation of professional “profit”—specifically, I want to know how to make my million within the next three months—that I introduce to you (name). Please welcome her.
