How To Get 10000 Hits Daily Part 1

If you take the time to set up my simple system you will receive a steady flow of traffic to your site for many years to come.

This is the how I get 10,000 Hits A Day to my website for free:

This is the first in a series of four installments which will explain not only how to earn credit from 20 traffic exchanges at the same time, but also how to use this extra traffic to generate leads and referrals. Be sure to save all four to your computer. The next four installments will show you how to:

1. Generate credits on 10 traffic exchanges.
2. Generate credits on the next 10 traffic exchanges.
3. Generate leads and referrals by replicating the 10,000 Hits A Day system.
4. Put it all together.

Below is a list of the first 10 different start page exchange programs that I currently use:

1. Nine Mile Hits
www.ninemilehits.com

2. Traffic Roundup
www.trafficroundup.com

3. Traffic Syndicate 25
www.ts25.com

4. Hit Safari
www.hitsafari.com

5. Traffic Pods
www.trafficpods.com

6. Deep Sea Hits
www.deepseahits.com

7. Start Xchange
www.startxchange.com

8. Mystical Maze
www.mysticalmaze.com

9. Webmaster Quest
www.webmasterquest.com

10. I Love Clicks
www.iloveclicks.com

Here is how you can use all of these programs at the same time:

1. Go to www.avantbrowser.com or www.crazybrowser.com and download their free browser. These browsers each have the ability to open multiple sites and windows inside a single browser. They can handle multiple monitors and have tab status indicators. Annoying pop ups can be removed automatically and multiple pages can be saved and reopened together.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Below I will refer to the browser you have downloaded as Avant Browser. However, if you have downloaded and prefer Crazy Browser, please use that instead.

2. Now click on all the links above to join these programs. If you’re already a member of some of these programs you can just use the URLs you already have. When you join these programs make sure to save all the URLs - both for your start pages and for your referral links!

3. Avant Browser has a feature that allows you to save any combination of URLs as individual groups. In the address line, copy and paste your surf/start page URL for Nine Mile Hits and press the Enter-Key, Nine Mile Hits surf page is loading. Now pen a new window & copy and paste the surf/start page URL of Traffic Roundup into the address line; again press the Enter-Key and Traffic Roundup will load in a new window. If you want to go back to the first window, click on the tab to the left. Use the tabs at the top of the page to navigate where you want to go.

Now enter all the remaining surf/start page URL s in new windows. Don’t forget to press the Enter-Key after you’ve typed in the URL. After you finished entering the 10 programs, click on the main menu “Groups” and then click on ‘Create New Group’. A windows file window will open, give your group a name, e.g. 10000 hits-1 and click on ‘Save’.

4. After you have this set up, you can start Avant Browser and simply click on the saved group in the menu bar from the drop-down menu under ‘Groups’. When the pages finish loading, you can just click on the next tab to go to the next page and begin clicking for hits!

5. If you have a slow connection and/or not very powerful computer, opening ten pages at the same time may be too much. If this is the case, try fewer pages until your computer is running smooth enough to load all of the pages. I highly recommend getting a high speed connection if it is at all possible. Internet life is much better that way.

6. Avant Browser is able to block Flash Animations, Pictures, Sounds, and Videos which can save you up to 95% of your bandwidth. These options can be found in the Tools menu.

Using this method with a cable connection I can generate 900 hit credits in a little over 1 hour. You can set your own target according to your connection speed and time limits. Even without any referrals, working 10 traffic exchanges at once using this method allows you to generate a large amount of traffic. Add the traffic you can generate by sharing this method with referrals and we’re talking major streams of free traffic.

Tomorrow: Setting up the next 10 traffic exchanges.

How To Find A Remote IP

Method 1

To view someone’s IP address when dey send you hotmail email do this:
1) Click “Options” on de upper right side of de page.
2) On de left side of de page, Click “Mail”
3) Click “Mail Display Settin’s”
4) Under “Message Headers” select “Full” or “Advanced”
5) Click ok

Method 2

Register a dydns account and install de IP pointer, so each time you pin’ de host name you registered

For example:

You register de host name myhost.dydns.com, den you keep a little software runnin’ on de target host. The little software will keep updatin’ your IP to dydns.com server. So at your pc just start cmd, and pin’ myhost.dydns.com, it will give you de most updated IP address.

Method 3

Simply type in nc -vvv -l -p 80 on your box, which will set it to listen in verbose mode on port 80. Then give them a link to your IP address (for example: 111.111.111.11) and tell them to type it in deir browser. The browser should resolve de address as well as append port 80 automatically. Just make sure that your friend is not very computer literate.

Method 4

Just download a very simple server such as this one and install it on your comp. Then run it and give your IP to de person you want and tell them to connect to it through a browser. Your server will log deir connection and you will get deir IP.

Oder Ways

-www.imchaos.com and make a “spy poll” to put in ur profile, this will tell u de IP of anybody who answers ur poll
-originalicons.com dere is a page for doin it (i dont like it, but it works)
-or irc

Here is a more detailed tutorial about usin’ NetCat.

Download Movies From mIRC

SETTING UP mIRC

First of all you need to download mIRC from /http://www.mirc.com, this program will let you connect to de server and channel to download movies. Once installed run mIRC, and you will be presented with de mIRC options. The first thin’ you will see is de “Connect” options. Set de options as follows:

IRC Network: Select “Criten” from de dropdown list.
Full Name: Enter what you feel comfortable with.
Email Address: Enter your email address.
Nickname: Enter de nickname you want.
Alternative: If de nickname you picked isn’t available this is de one it will use.

*If Criten isn’t listed in de IRC Networks, hit de “Add” button.
Description: Criten
IRC Server: irc.Criten.net
Port(s): 6667
Group: Criten
Password: Leave Blank
Hit de “Add” Button to finish

Next we will move down to “DCC”. Select “Auto-get file” (this will automaticly accept de files that are sent to you), click “YES” in de window that opens. Right next to de “Auto-get file” click on de “Minimize” option. Below that select select “Resume” from de drop-down list under “If file exists:”. This option sets mIRC to automaticly resume any failed sends you may get instead of overwritin’ them.

Continuin’ in de “DCC” section, go down to “Folders”. In de “DCC Ignore:” box select from de drop-down list “Disabled”, den untick de “Turn ignore back on in:” box.

mIRC is now setup correctly to download movies from TMD! Hit “OK” on de bottom of de Options window and move on to de next part.

CONNECTING TO #TMD-MOVIEZ

In de upper left hand corner of mIRC you will see de “Connect” button in de tool bar, click it to connet to irc.Criten.net. Once it has connected (be patient it can take a while to finally connect on some days), a window will pop-up, this is de mIRC Channels list. On de right side of de window click de “Add” button. Anoder window will pop up, set it as follows:

Channel: Type in “#TMD-Moviez” (without de quotes)
Password: Leave blank.
Description: Just type in “TMD Moviez” or somethin’ of de sort.
Networks: Click de “Add” button and from de drop-down list select “Criten”, den click “OK”.

If you wish mIRC to automaticly connect to this channel once connected to de server, check de “Join channel on connect” box in de options. You may also wish to add de channel “#TMD” (Our chat channel) by repeatin’ dese steps.

Now click “OK” and it will show de mIRC Channels List again with de channel you just added. While de new channel is still selected click “Join” on de right side.

You can also type in /join #TMD-Moviez

A new window will appear with a bunch of text scrollin’ by, if you see this, than you did everythin’ correctly! You are now in #TMD-Moviez! Move on to de next section for de fun part.

FINDING AND DOWNLOADING FILES

The thin’s you see scrollin’ are ads and searches mainly. It is de ads that you may want to watch for. They consist of info about de server like this:

Only an example server. Not a real one!

[2:29am] <TMD-Maveric> File Server Online Triggers:Ã½/ctcp TMD-Maveric !Maveric’s Moviez! Min:Ã½6.4 Kbs Sends:Ã½2/2 Queues:Ã½10/10 Accessed:Ã½3295 times Online:Ã½0/4 RCPS:Ã½42.8 Kbs by kuki Served:Ã½95.6G in 785 files Current BW:Ã½41 Kbs AQT:Ã½1hr 15mins Servin’:Ã½279 files MOTD: -= :: (Ã»`Ã.Ã©Ã©.->All de newest from distro!!<-.Ã©Ã©.ÃÃ») :: =- Ã¹I-n-v-i-s-i-o-nÃ¹

Really de only thin' you need to know to get started is how to connect to de file server and get a file.

The trigger is what you type into de channel to connect to de server. The trigger above would be "/ctcp TMD-Maveric !Maveric's Moviez!" (without de quotes) as noted by de "Triggers:½ â" You always type what is inbetween de ½â. You will know you are connected when a window pops up with:

Servin' YourNickname
Waitin' for acknowledgement...
DCC Chat connection established

Then you will see alot of text fly by which you can read if you want, but it is not needed. You will be left with somethin' like this "[]", that is de root directory of de server. To view de files in that directory you type "dir". At that point de directory contents will be show like this:

[2:40am] <TMD-Maveric> dir
[2:40am] <TMD-Maveric> [*.*]
[2:40am] <TMD-Maveric> DVD RIPS
[2:40am] <TMD-Maveric> MOVIEZ
[2:41am] <TMD-Maveric> [tmd]csi.miami.s1.ep01.golden.parachute.(ftv).tvrip.(1of1).avi 121 mb
[2:41am] <TMD-Maveric> [tmd]csi.miami.s1.ep02.golden.losin'.face.(ftv).tvrip.(1of1).avi 115 mb
[2:40am] <TMD-Maveric> End of list.

The ones in all caps are directories, and de oders are files signified by de de name and size of de file. If you want to go to a directory you need to type "cd <directory name>". Then you need to type "dir" again to see de contents. You should see somethin' like this:

[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric>cd moviez
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> [moviez]
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> dir
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> [moviez*.*]
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> ..
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> A RUMOR OF ANGELS
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> ALI G INDAHOUSE
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> AVENGING ANGELO
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> BALLISTIC - ECKS VS SEVER
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> BARBERSHOP
[2:44am] <TMD-Maveric> BARBERSHOP (UNCUT)
[2:45am] <TMD-Maveric> [tmd]nailed.(evil).scr.(1of2).avi 169 mb
[2:45am] <TMD-Maveric> [tmd]nailed.(evil).scr.(2of2).avi 59.3 mb
[2:45am] <TMD-Maveric> End of list.

Now to get a file you need to type "get <filename>". At that point you will eider be sent de file, placed in queue for de file, of told that dere isn't a free spot in de queue for you. Lookin' like this:

[2:50am] <TMD-Maveric> get [tmd]nailed.(evil).scr.(1of2).avi
[2:50am] <TMD-Maveric> Sendin' [tmd]nailed.(evil).scr.(1of2).avi ½169MBâ.
OR [2:50am] <TMD-Maveric>The file has been queued in slot 1
OR [2:50am] <TMD-Maveric> Sorry but de Maximum Allowed Queues of 10 has been reached. Please try again later.

The window may say somethin' like "idle connection closin' in 30 seconds", when you are finished eider type "exit" or let de connection close. You will still get your download!

TIP: To quicky enter de filename you should copy and paste it. mIRC automaticly copys what ever text is selected to de clipboard. So select de filename (when you let go of de mouse button de selection will disappear) den use Ctrl+V (or right click and choose paste) to paste it.

A few oder thin’s you should know is how to go back a directory (”cd ..”), how to see what files are sendin’ (”sends”), and how to see who is in de queue (”queues”).

Now to find de movie you are lookin’ for…. As you may have seen in de chat screen you can search for what file you are lookin’ for. This is done by usin’ “@find <moviename>”. So if you were lookin’ for “The Rin’” den you would type “@find de rin’”. If any matchin’ files were found new windows will open with de results. You will see dese flashin’ red in de top bar. Clickin’ on them will display de results for each server de file was found in, lookin’ a bit like this:

<Nickname-of-server> [@Find Results] -=SysReset 2.50=-
<Nickname-of-server> Found [2] files on Trigger [/ctcp Nickname-of-server !TRIGGER!] - Queues: [20/25]
<Nickname-of-server> File: [The Rin’[tmd]de.rin’.(ftf).ts.(2of2).avi] - Size [149.7MB]
<Nickname-of-server> File: [The Rin’[tmd]de.rin’.(ftf).ts.(1of2).avi] - Size [130.1MB]
<Nickname-of-server> End of @Find.

The thin’s to pay attention to is de trigger and de “Queues”. The “queues” tell you how many people are in line to get a file from this server. [20/25] means dere are 20 people in line out of an available 25 slots. The fewer amout of people in de queue de shorter amount of time you have to wait before downloadin’. Once you find a good server, type in de trigger that is show and you will be connected to de file server.

TIP: To close all de windows that opened as a result of de @find type “/close -m” in de channel.

COMMON ERRORS AND PROBLEMS

Error: “You need to identify a registered nick to join…”
Solution: To register: type in (without quotes) “/msg NickServ REGISTER password youremailaddress”. That will register your current nickname usin’ de password and email specified. To identify type in (without quotes) “/msg NickServ IDENTIFY password” where password is de password you registered with.

Problem: “The video doesn’t play right!”
Solution: Be sure to download and install de TMD Codec. If after you have intalled de codec de video still doesn’t work, make sure you download de entire file, de file sizes are listed on our MoveBot.

Error: “No more connections allowed in your connection class”
Solution: This just means de server is full. There is nothin’ to do but wait till it connects. Patience is a virtue!

Problem: “I have been banned from de channel, what do I do?”
Solution: Most bans only last a minute, so try to join de channel later. If you still can not join, den private message de OP that banned you in #TMD. To send a private message type “/msg <username> <message>” in de channel substitutin’ <username> with de username of de person that banned you, and <message> with de message you want to send.

Problem: “I downloaded a movie but de quality is bad!”
Solution: There is nothin’ you can do about it! TMD encodes movies that were supplied by a “rippin’” group. We encoded those files to make them more compact for easy downloadin’, while keepin’ de best quality we can. Some movies we get are bad quality to begin with, and we do what we can with what we have to work with.

Problem: “How do I know what new movies have been released?”
Solution: We have a bot in #TMD-Moviez and #TMD, simply type “!newmoviez” into de channel for de last 10 releases. Type “!moviebot” for all of de bots commands.

It all can be quite confusin’ at first glance, but after a week or two it seems simple! Any oder questions you may have can probably be answered by goin’ to #TMD. I hope this helps everybody.

Download From FTP Using FTP Search Sites

Tools Needed:

SmartFTP [ smartftp.com ]
NAPALM FTP Search Site [ search.ftphost.net ]
vcdquality.com Release Nfo Site
DAMN NFO Viewer or just notepad [www.damn.to ]

This tutorial is so i can stop answerin’ tha same questions everyday in this tutorial I’ll explain how to use search sites like NAPALM effectively. basically better search results and a quality release. We are goin’ to use a movie as de example so here we go.

First thin’ I do is try and figure who released it and if any were nuked and why most of de time you can find de NFO at de sites below

www.deisonews.com - www.nforce.nl - www.vcdquality.com
we are goin’ use vcdquality to find out NFO on Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life
h**p://www.vcdquality.com/index.php?imdbid=0325703

Say you chose de copy Centropy released

Here is de link to de nfo file

h**p://www.vcdquality.com/nfo.php/ctp-tr2.nfo?id=16662&show=text&save=1

If you read it you see a section that says Archives [56/56*15]

Ok so now you know your lookin’ for 2 CD’s and that are Split RAR files at 15mb each. You will also see this (( password is “drudgereportdotcom” )). Im sure that will help later so now to go find de file names by doin’ a search.

Here are some sites you can use

NAPALM - RELIZ - AMUN - FTPSpider

Im goin’ to use NAPALM for de example do an un-filtered search for “tomb raider centropy” without de quotes. But I wouldn’t recommend always searchin’ as above because de name of tha Movie/App/Game/ReleaseGroup isnt always goin’ to be in file name or url. So results could be limited but it helps on gettin’ correct file names. You should notice that de file name seems to be in this format ctp-tr1.r54 and ctp-tr2.r54. “ctp-tr1.r54″ is in a file from CD1 and “ctp-tr2.r54″ is in a file from CD2

Ok so now we know de file names, so search for ctp-tr2.r54 and you will have more streamlined results before we had over 100 results from each ftp that had this movie. With one result per file at over 50 files per cd, that would take way to lon’ to go through page by page till you get to each FTP site.

Now that we have tha search narrowed down by a sin’le file name each result is a different ftp site. Notice also that I have searched for a high number file from cd 2. The reason for this is because it is more likely that it has been fully uploaded and not missin’ any files because most people start uploadin’ from cd1 and in order of first split file .rar .r00 .r01 and NOT from cd2 and backwards .r50 .r49 .r48.

Ok that was easy enough but now we get to de hopefully not slow part of DOWNLOADING de files. Normally you can get better speeds from an anonymous server because you can use multiple connections at once. Say de server only gives ya 4k download, you may be able to connect 50 times at once and get more like 200k download, but a FTP that needs a Password and user name normally isnt that easy. The reason is normally bacause only 1 connection per IP is allowed and amount of users at one time is limited to about 15 or less, so dere are always a lon’ line of peope waitin’ to get in. Basically even if we could have more than one connection per IP, if it took 9 hours to get access you would need to wait that lon’ for each connection or thread. By de time anoder thread connected you would have probably already finished downloadin’ de file anyway.

NAPALM search site has nice search and filter option that will only show anonymous servers in de results page. Now open up SmartFTP and dere are a few options we want to be sure and change.

Tools > Settin’s > General:
Set Default Download Path to whatever you want

Tools > Settin’s > Connection:
Set Max Retries to -1 (( -1 = unlimited ))
Set Retry Delay to @ least 40 sec.*

*(( because some ftp will ban if you hammer/try and login to often ))
*(( read welcome messages on tha ftp log/status window for possible hammer rules ))

Tools > Settin’s > Connection > Keep Alive:
Make sure Keepalive is checked
Set interval to about 40
(( if set to low will be anoyin’ & to high may not be effective on some sitez ))
Highlight NOOP in de list and push Remove
Now type LIST into de box and push tha Add
(( This is de command that keepalive uses to pretend your not idle ))
(( some ftps will kick you out if you are idle to lon’ ))
(( and some still do with tha NOOP command we so have changed it to LIST
(( if you want you can change it to somethin’ better all i know is this works for me ))
(( nobody wants to sit for 9 hours waitin’ to get in den get kicked out ))

SmartFTP also has Clipboard monitorin’, so all you need to do is have smart ftp runnin’. Go Back to NAPALM. Right click a link and select “Copy Shortcut” from tha menu and smartFtp will popup and say FTP URL in clipboard detected. If you want to open that site, just cick yes.

But it can be even more simple than that if you want.

Tools > Settin’s > Display > Prompts:
Uncheck: On URL Catch
(( Now it will just open tha FTP without any prompt ))

When you are conectin’ to ftp you need to watch tha log/status window

For possibe crap links (( dead links and/or ratio sites )), dese are tha most common errorz to look for:

530 Account Disabled.
No connection could be made because de target machine actively refused it. A connection attempt failed because de connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

550 Permission denied
While tryin’ to download a file
(( this is probably a ratio site if it has everythin’ you ever wanted and more & looks to good to be true ))
(( it probably is and id just move on to tha next site ))

Anoder problem you may find on anonymous ftp is that tha files or folders are not dere. 2 reasons for that is dey were eider deleted or just moved. If dey were moved this could be a problem most people uploadin’ to anonymous ftp, made a huge maze of locked folders to hide deir files and that makes for an endless task tryin’ to find de files unless you have an application that can spider de ftp and has de capability to get through locked folders. To have a list of every file on de ftp I dont know of any public application i can recommend with that capability. But dey do exist. This app can get through locked folders and may help. It seems like a crap program, but de best i could find on google in about 5 min worth of searchin’ is:

PubView.zip - www.jtpfxp.net has nfo about dir lockin’ & breakin’ dirs

Ill go over some basic instructions on downloadin’ from Anonymous and NonAnonymous Sites, or maybe i should say sites that allow more than one connection per IP and ones that dont.

We will start with anonymous or multiple thread capable FTP

Once you have de ftp open and you see de files you want. Just drag and drop them into de Global Queue tab on de transfers window and den just push de start button. We should have de In Speed at bottom right status bar. If its not goin’ fast enough, you can adjust de amount of connections/threads you have runnin’. Keep addin’ threads until your bandwidth is maxed or until your total In Speed doesnt get any faster. Anoder thin’ you may wanna keep in mind is that you can connect to more than one ftp downloadin’ CD1 from one site and CD2 from de oder etc. for a combined speed.

Now we go onto NonAnonymous Sitez

You cant use Global Queue because you cant have multiple threads, so just right click de file or folder you want and select Download > Direct > Select Folder. Most of dese sites will be slow and could take hours maybe days to get into, so what i do is just open every sin’le result in NAPALM at de same time. I figure that i have a better chance waitin’ on 10 sites rader than 1. So when you have them all open just close out de ones that have de errors mentioned above, den you can walk away and check every so often to see if you have gotten in one yet. This is where de keepalive option helps out and of course if you happen to get into more than one at a time
just go for tha combined speed method if it is goin’ slow.

Digital Camera Guide

So, it’s time for a digital camera huh? Well, buyin’ one can be more than a little difficult. What types of features should you look for? Well, this guide will tell you that plus get you a little more familiar with what dese cameras are capable of.

Megapixels

When it comes to megapixels, de more de better. I recommend a minimum of 2, but 3 or 4 is great. We did a test to see if a camera with 2.3 megapixels (actually 1.92 - 1600 x 1200) could produce a good quality 8×10.

Turns out it can, if you have de right paper and printer. We used HP Premium Plus photo paper with an HP 970 series printer and made a fantastic 8 x 10. Remember, I was a professional photographer before I got into computin’, so I know a good print when I see it :-)

The resolution at 8×10 (we had to crop in to make de picture proportional to 8×10) was only 150 DPI. Most printers would not make a real good 8×10 at that resolution, but this one did. So, if you want to be sure you can get good 8 x 10s, you may want to go with a 3 megapixel camera or better (that gives you around 200 DPI at 8×10 size, still not quite de optimum 300 DPI, but it looks good with de right printer).

Optical vs Digital Zoom

You’ve probably noticed that most digital cameras have both a specification for digital and optical zoom. Pay de most attention to de optical zoom.

The optical zoom magnifies (zooms in) usin’ glass. The digital zoom basically crops out de edge of de picture to make de subject appear closer, causin’ you to lose resolution or to get an interpolated resolution (i.e. de camera adds pixels). Neider of which help image quality.

Finally, make sure you get enough (optical) zoom. A 2x zoom isn’t goin’ to do much for you. A 3x is de average you’ll find in most digital cameras will probably be good for most uses. More on lenses later.

Connection

How does de camera connect to your computer? If you have a USB port in your computer, you’ll want a camera that can connect via USB as opposed to a slow serial connection.

On de oder hand, if your computer doesn’t have a USB port, is dere a serial connector available for de camera you’re lookin’ at? If so, is it a special order and how lon’ does it take to get it?

Storage

What does de camera use to store images with? If it uses a memory stick, make sure you consider buyin’ additional sticks when you get your camera. A typical 8 meg memory stick that comes with a 2 megapixel camera only holds 5 or 6 images at de camera’s best quality.

Some cameras use a 3.5 inch disk for storage. Be careful of dese!
Although it may sound like a good idea, a 3 megapixel camera at high resolution produces a 1 meg file (compressed!). That’s only 1 picture per disk.

Here’s a few more thin’s to look out for when tryin’ to make your digital camera purchase.

Picture Formats

When you’re tryin’ to decide on which digital camera to get, check and see how many different picture formats it supports.

You want somethin’ that can produce both uncompressed (usually TIFF) and compressed (usually JPEG) images. I personally use de high quality JPEG settin’ on my camera for most of my shootin’. TIFFs are just too big and de difference in quality is not ascertainable by mere mortals.

You also want to be able to shoot at a lower resolution than de camera’s maximum. That way, If you’re runnin’ short on memory, you can squeeze a few more shots on your memory stick.

Auxiliary Lens / Flash

This was a biggie for me. While a 3x zoom may work for de “average” user, I needed somethin’ that allowed me to do some wide an’le work as well as have a good telephoto lens.

So, de camera I purchased a few months back was a Nikon Coolpix 990 (note that this isn’t de only camera that can accept lenses). It has auxiliary lenses that screw into de filter rin’ on de front of de lens. I now have an ultra-wide fisheye lens plus a nice telephoto.

In addition to lenses, I wanted a good flash. The flash that is built into most of dese cameras gives you a top range of 15-20 feet - at best. I wanted a camera that could take a powerful auxiliary flash (again, de Nikon isn’t de only camera that fits this requirement, but I liked it better than de rest). If you need more reach than de small built in flash can deliver, den make sure you can attach an external flash to any camera you consider.

As an added bonus, if you get a camera that can take an external flash, you can place that flash on a bracket and eliminate red-eye.

Flash Distance

Speakin’ of flashes, make sure you check de distance de built in flash is good for. You don’t want a camera with a wimpy flash that only travels a few feet (well, unless you can get an external flash for it as described above).

Battery Type

This may not sound important, but it is. Anyone who owns a digital camera can tell you dey eat batteries de way a sumo wrestler eats at a buffet.

Make sure de camera can run on regular (or rechargeable) “AA” type batteries. You don’t want a camera that eats through expensive lithium batteries every 10 shots or so.

One thin’ to remember about digital cameras, dey do eat through batteries. I recommend gettin’ some Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable for it. I have some for mine and dey have saved me a fortune.

Final Notes

Choosin’ a digital camera isn’t easy. There’s a huge selection out dere and only you can determine which features you need.

For instance, if you shoot wildlife photos, a small 3x zoom probably isn’t goin’ to cut it (unless you can attach auxiliary lenses to it). If you shoot lots of close-ups, make sure de camera has some sort of macro capability. If you shoot big group photos indoors, an external flash may be necessary.

My advice is to make a list of thin’s you want to be able to do with de camera den go to somewhere that can help you make a good purchase decision.

Finally, buy de BEST camera you can possibly afford. Or wait until de price drops on one with de type of features you want.

Bulletproof FTP Server Tutorial

I thought that perhaps this tutorial might be pretty helpful for those interested in knowin’ how to configure deir Bulletproof FTP Server that don’t already know how… Here’s how to get started

This is for de BulletProof FTP Server 2.10. However, It should work fine on most followin’ versions as well.

I’m assumin’ you have it installed and cracked.

Basics
1. Start de program.
2. Click on Setup > Main > General from de pull-down menu.
3. Enter your server name into de ‘Server Name’ box. Under Connection set de Max number of users” to any number. This is de limit as to how many users can be on your sever at any time.
4. Click on de ‘options’ tab of that same panel (on de side)
5. Look at de bottom, under IP Options. Put a check in de box Refuse Multiple Connections from de same IP. This will prevent one person from blockin’ your FTP to oders.
6. Also put a check in de ‘Blocked Banned IP (instead of notifyin’ client). VERY IMPORTANT! If somebody decides to ‘Hammer’ (attempt to login numerous times VERY quickly) your server/computer may CRASH if you don’t enable this.
7. Click on de ‘advanced’ tab
8. At de bottom again look at de ‘hammerin’ area’
9. Enable ‘anti-hammer’ and ‘do not reply to people hammerin’’ Set it for de followin’: Block IP 120 min if 5 connections in 60 sec. You can set this at whatever you want to but that is pretty much a standard Click ‘OK’

Addin’ Users
11. Setup > User accounts form pull-down.
12. Right click in de empty ‘User Accounts’ area on de right: choose ‘Add’
13. Enter account name. (ie: logon name)
14. In de ‘Access rights’ box right click: choose Add.
15. Browse until you find de directory (folder) you want to share. In de right column you will see a bunch of checkboxes. Put a check in de followin’ ones: Read, Write, Append, Make, List, and +Subdirs. Press ’select’.
16. Enter a password for your new FTP account.
17. Click on ‘Miscellaneous’ in de left column. Make sure ‘Enable Account’ is selected. Enable ‘Max Number of Users’ set it at a number oder than zero. 1 for a personal account and more that one for a group account. Enable ‘Max. no. of connects per IP’ set it at 1

18. Under ‘Files’ enable ’show relative path’ this is a security issue. A FTP client will now not be able to see de ENTIRE path of de FTP. It will only see de path from de main directory. Hide hidden flies as well.

Put a tick in both of dese.

Advanced:
You don’t need to do any of this stuff, but It will help tweak your server and help you maintain order on it. All of de followin’ will be broken down into small little areas that will tell you how to do one thin’ at a time.

Chan’in’ de Port
The default port is always 21, but you can change this. Many ISPs will routinely do a scan of its own users to find a ftp server, also when people scan for pubs dey may scan your IP, thus findin’ your ftp server. If you do decide to change it many suggest that you make de port over 10,000.
1. Setup > Main > General
2. In de ‘Connection’ Area is a settin’ labeled ‘Listen on Port Number:’
3. Make it any number you want. That will be your port number.
4. Click ‘OK’

Makin’ an ‘Upload Only’ or ‘Download Only’ ftp server.
This is for de entire SERVER, not just a user.
1. Setup > Main > Advanced
2. In de advanced window you will have de followin’ options: uploads and downloads, downloads only, and uploads only. By default upload and download will be checked. Change it to whatever you want.
3. Click ‘OK

While you are runnin’ your server, usually you will end up spendin’ more time at your computer than you normally do. Don’t be afraid to ban IP’s. Remember, on your FTP you do as you want.

When you are online you must also select de open server button next to de on-line button which is de on-line Button

You also have to use de actual Numbered ip Address ie: 66.250.216.67

Or even Better yet, get a no-ip.com address
