Point Of Sales Software

Retail merchants now have a chance to rejoice. A new point of sales software has been launched! Point of Sale systems is a system where a merchant charge the customers over the counter at that time. Point of sales systems normally does a simple inventory too, by tracking sales over the counter.

MerchantOS.com has a revolutionary idea in these types of systems. They are currently doing it online. There are several key benefits in having your POS (Point Of Sales) systems linked online. Amongst those are Faster, Easier Software Installation, Less Money Spent on IT, Less Money Spent on Computer Hardware, have a Better Cash Flow, Real Time Information for Multi Store Solutions, Improved Inventory Control, Easier In-Store Operations and Customer Service, Improving your Sales, Off-Site Access and Eliminates Workstation and Operating System Concerns. With online POS is also always up and running and you do not have to worry about data backups and updating your software as it is done automatically online.

Generally, the site offers a very effective way of explaining what a POS is and how it applies to merchants. Their Tour demo is effective for first time users and also to those who are not convinced by just wordings on the site. I would say that they are above the rest of the similar business competitors by including this demo where you can actively try it yourself. Not all merchants are Internet savvy and in my opinion, MerchantOS.com has done a great job in this. However, as I am on a dialup, the video demo loads quite slowly and I was on the verge of closing it as I thought it had hung half way.

The design of the page looks quite ametuerish but I would say that the big tabs on top (”Tour”, “Try It” and “Sign Up”) would look like it is in line with the modern web designing. The front page is quite like those viral spam advertising. However, the use of centralized web page design where it uses only 1/2 of the full page does really target the readers on the content. Generally not too bad a design, but could improve further.

A good initiative by MerchantOS.com. Way to go!
